Plus Minus is a lamp design kit that is not only fully functional, but also passively educates about basic circuitry during construction. Through unique affordances of form, color, conductivity, and magnetism, consumers are empowered to create their own multipurpose light source. Plus Minus encourages and treasures the personal expression of consumers. As well as using LEDs as its light source, Plus Minus is designed with a solar panel and renewable wood in interest of sustainability. Passive education of basic technology will allow people to adjust to a technology-oriented society and promote the trend of the do-it-yourself and maker culture.
